The VGTHANKS24 promo code works on both physical and digital Vanilla Visa gift cards. The best option though – provided you have an easy way to liquidate them – is to buy the digital gift cards. That’s because the physical cards have a shipping fee of at least $10.95 despite the purchase fee being waived.
Be aware that in the past purchases from VanillaGift haven’t earned rewards when paying with Amex cards. I believe that’s still the case, plus purchases had also coded as cash advances with Amex in the past. I’m not sure if that latter point is still true or not, but either way – best to use a non-Amex card for these purchases if you’re interested.
