Hilton announced yesterday that they’ve added another 102 Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) properties. That means that there’s now almost 400 SLH locations around the world that can be booked via Hilton.

One of the new properties is The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey. That’s Jersey as in the Channel Islands just off the coast of France rather than the home of Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and, uh, Snookie. I’ve been interested in heading back to Jersey at some point as this was the very first vacation I ever went on when I was 2 or 3 years old and is where I have some of my earliest memories, including on the flight there.
The Atlantic Hotel looks like it’s a beautiful property which is only a short walk to the beach. 50,000 points per night appears to be the standard award pricing there, although I did find one night at 49,000 points. Cash rates seem to be ~$250 per night, so that’s fairly good value for Hilton points which can be made even better by taking advantage of Hilton’s 5th night free benefit on award stays.
Something to be aware of is that Hilton was onboarding the new hotels in batches yesterday. That process should be complete by now, but there might still be a few that are yet to be loaded. These new properties are bookable for stays starting from September 23.
There’s a somewhat helpful landing page listing all SLH properties bookable through Hilton that you can find here. It breaks the list down by country, but seeing as many of the hotels have names that don’t mention their location, there’s no way of knowing where in its given country it’s located just by looking at the list. The list also sadly doesn’t link to the individual properties on Hilton’s website, so you’ll have to do a search to research their locations.
You can do that by entering in the property’s name which, in some cases, can be the best way to do it. For example, when wanting to run some award searches for The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey, I tried searching for ‘Jersey’. Doing that brought up about a dozen location options, none of which were the Jersey in the Channel Islands. Typing in ‘The Atlantic Hotel’ instead brought up this hotel as a selectable option. For most locations though, searching by the country name and moving the results map around to a desired location should do the trick if you want to visit a certain part of a country and see what SLH options there are.
