Aeroplan is currently running a promotion that gives 6,000 bonus points when booking one round trip or two one-way Air Canada flights from the US to Canada.
In order to get the bonus, The flights must be booked by September 1st and travel must be completed between 9/1/24 and 3/31/25

Key Terms

- Registration is required. To register, click on the “Register and book now” tab in the Offer e-mail received. The Aeroplan Member must register for the Offer during the Offer Period before booking the Eligible Scheduled Flights*.
- To be eligible to receive the bonus Aeroplan points, the Aeroplan Member must provide their Aeroplan number at the time of booking.
- Travel must take place within the following travel period: September 1, 2024; starting at 00:01 Newfoundland Standard Time through to March 31, 2025, inclusively, ending at 23:59 Pacific Standard Time (“Travel Period”).
- To participate in this Offer, a minimum of one round-trip or two one-way trips are required. For clarity, a one-way trip consists of one origin and one destination (one bound) between an airport in the USA and the Eligible Destination*** in Canada. For example, a booking from Miami (MIA) to Montreal (YUL) that has a stopover in Toronto (YYZ) is considered a one-way trip.
- Two one-way Eligible Scheduled Flights* booked in Economy Flex will collectively be awarded 6,000 bonus Aeroplan points. A round-trip booking, in turn, consists of two bounds: One from the USA to the Eligible Destination*** in Canada, and a second one from the Eligible Destination*** in Canada back to the USA.
- Eligible Scheduled Flights* must be the subject of a new booking, created for the first time during the Offer Period, with a new booking reference number. Any booking made prior to the start of the Offer Period that is subsequently changed to include travel dates within the Travel Period will not be considered a new booking that is eligible for the Offer.
- The departure of the first outbound trip must commence in the USA to be eligible for this Offer.
- Flight redemption bookings and bookings made with a combination of points and cash are not eligible for this Offer.
- Bonus Aeroplan points awarded through this promotion will count towards Everyday Status Qualification as part of Aeroplan Elite

Status.Quick Thoughts
Based on our Reasonable Redemption Values, 6,000 Aeroplan points is worth ~$80, which could be a nice little bonus on a flight to Canada…especially since there’s no minimum price for a ticket to count (although the lowest fare class is Economy Standard).
It’s not going to be worth booking a paid round-trip flight or two one-ways just for the sake of 6,000 bonus Aeroplan points, but Air Canada can often be the cheapest and/or most convenient option for travel between the US and Canada, so earning 6,000 points is a nice little sweetener as that’s more than enough to add a free stopover onto a future award flight.
Note that registration is required and flights have to be on Air Canada metal – codeshare flights aren’t eligible. Also, although two one-ways will trigger the bonus, according to the terms, they both must originate in the US.
