Quick Thoughts

This is a nice improvement on the Frontier card, especially given how cheap most of the airline’s fares are…and since checked bags can be as much as $99 each.

Frontier cardholders also get waived award redemption fees and new applicants currently have the opportunity to get a a year of Gold Status by spending $3k on the card within the first 90 days. That gets you seat assignments at booking, no change or cancel fees, free carry-on bags and premium seating at check-in (such as it is).

For folks who fly Frontier a lot, all of that could add up to a very interesting combination and put a dent into the copious fees that the airline is known for.
