Kimpton hotels & resorts periodically offer a “secret password” (or phrase) that you can say to the check-in agent at the front desk in order to get some small bonus surprise. Those bonus surprises can range from a free drink or parking to an extra “raid the bar credit” to free breakfast. You never know what you’re going to get. The newest phrase is “Good for the Sol” and it is good for stays from May 24, 2024, to September 2, 2024.
For those unfamiliar with Spanish, it may look like I have a typo in the phrase, but “sol” is Spanish for “sun”, so the phrase “Good for the sol” is meant to be a fun little play on words (as is often the case with Kimpton passwords). I always recommend setting expectations low for the secret password, but sometimes you’ll get a nice little surprise. If you’ll be staying at a Kimpton between May 24, 2024, to September 2, 2024, it’s worth giving the phrase a shot at the desk.
