The cheapest award fares with this sale start at 4,000 miles each way. That’s a decent price in theory, but be sure to check the cash price too because some of these routings have low cash prices as well.
One potential standout route value-wise is between Seattle and Ketchikan. Some days you can book flights from only 4,000 miles versus a cash cost of $149 or more. Redeeming Mileage Plan miles would therefore get you at least 3.73cpp (cents per point) of value which is an excellent deal.
If you’re interested in escaping the cold and heading to Hawaii, there are some flights bookable from only 7,500 miles. Again though, check the cash pricing as you might find some low cash rates that would make that a better choice versus redeeming miles. For example, San Jose to Kauai is bookable from 7,500 miles, but cash tickets on some dates are available for as low as $119.
