There’s a new Expedia Amex Offer out that’s giving 10% back on prepaid hotel stays.

- Offer valid for pre-paid hotel purchases made online through the following link expedia.com/amex using the pre-paid option at checkout (“pay now”) only.
- Excludes “pay at property” purchases and purchases made over the phone.
- Excludes all other purchases not made at expedia.com/amex link using the pre-paid option at checkout.
- Excludes cruises, vacation packages, flights, car rental and activities, trip insurance and other 3rd party brands.
- American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant.
- Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
The terms of the Amex Offer state that you have to visit expedia.com/amex, but I’m not entirely convinced that’s necessary provided you ensure that you’re booking a prepaid hotel stay.
Having said that, if you’re wanting to stack this offer with shopping portal cashback, I’d click through from a portal and then manually change the URL to expedia.com/amex. Alternatively, if you have a shopping portal browser extension installed (such as Capital One Shopping), you could go to expedia.com/amex directly and then activate the portal earnings once you get the popup during the checkout process.
