Play for a free airline toward the SAS EuroBonus millionaire challenge

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is offering an in-app quiz about SkyTeam. The top 5 scores on the quiz will get credit for an additional airline toward the SAS EuroBonus Millionaire challenge. Winners will be notified on November 27th, so there isn’t much time to play — and you’ll know whether you’re one of the top 5 soon enough that it could impact your plans if you’re looking to complete the challenge.

The Deal

  • Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is offering a chance to win credit for a bonus airline by completing a quiz about SkyTeam airlines and finishing with one of the top 5 scores.
  • You’ll find a link to the quiz in the SAS app on your phone when logged in

Key Terms

  • Quick will be live until 23:59 on November 24th (which I imagine is local time in Stockholm, so I expect this will close at 5:59pm Eastern time on Sunday, November 24th).
  • Winners will be notified via email on November 27th

Quick Thoughts

This is probably an impossible game to “win” because I imagine some folks will figure out how to game it and get it done in an impossible amount of time, but at the same time there probably aren’t as many people playing this as some other contests with wider appeal. Essentially, it only makes sense for those going after the Millionaire campaign to play since getting credit for one airline won’t make sense for anyone who isn’t intending to get at least 9 others if not 14.

It’s worth noting that you can play again and again until you’re satisfied with your score and then you submit. It’s essentially a timed quiz with the same questions / answers each time, but with the questions in a different order each time. I will warn you that you’ll end up both spending more time than you intend and getting more frustrated than you’d like because you’ll inevitably keep trying to do it faster and then miss one of them or tap and the phone won’t respond right away and you’ll play again and again. Ask me how I know. I finally gave up at a high score of 11,700 points after scoring 11,655 several times and then making repeated mistakes, but I doubt that will be high enough to “win” (and yes, I already flew 15 airlines, but I’ve only thus far gotten credit for 12 of the flights, so I figured that a little insurance wouldn’t hurt!).

You’ll find the link right at the top of the app and it will require your EuroBonus number and email address to submit once you’re satisfied with your score.
